Open Houses & Information Sessions are held throughout the year.

The New York College Admissions Office is accepting Applications and Enrolling for the
next trimester!

The College has 3 Manhattan sites - on the Upper West Side at The Riverside Church, in the hot SoHo/ LES neighborhood at the University Settlement Houston Street Center and at the New York Open Center in midtown - in addition to our main campus in Syosset, Long Island. Students may take classes in multiple locations.

Meet with Admissions representatives in Manhattan Monday - Friday and Saturday by appointment.
Syosset Admissions Office open Monday - Saturday.

2013 Commencement

The 2013 Commencement Ceremony was held Saturday, May 11th with Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee as the Commencement Speaker.  She inspired the graduates with her words "Each of you began a journey long ago that led to where you sit today...[and] today you have arrived!"

The Commencement Speaker was The Honorable Michael Balboni, the former "Homeland Security Czar" for New York State who addressed the importance of homeland security and Infection Control. The College awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science to Mei Kong, a nurse, nursing educator and currently Senior Director of Patient Safety, including Infection Control, for the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. It also awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters to Cygalle Dias, founder of one of top rated spas in the world and long time advocate of wellness and holistic health for her clients.

imgThe 2008 Commencement was attended by over 1000 people. Commencement Speaker, Nick Bollettieri, is a legendary, award winning tennis coach. He accepted an Honorary Doctorate from New York College for his contribution to the world of sports, fitness and wellness and he delivered an inspiring address to the graduates encouraging them to be Champions of Life.

Recognized as leader and innovator in the world of sports, Nick has coached nine #1 players in the world, as well as well as a multitude of world class players. Besides being a legendary coach, he is also an accomplished author, TV commentator, and has devoted time to help underprivileged children through community based programs throughout the world.

A few of the special honors and awards that Nick Bollettieri has received are:

  • Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health Spirit of Sports and Service Award
  • Cartier Grand Slam Legend Award, awarded by the American Caner Society
  • United States Olympic Committee National Coach of the Year for tennis
  • National Symposium for Children and Poverty Award
  • One of the "Forty Greatest Moments of the Last Forty Years", Tennis Magazine
  • One of the 25 most influential people in tennis in the 20th century, The Sporting Life
