Holistic Nursing Program

Holistic Nursing with Western and Asian Bodywork is designed as a comprehensive study program for Registered Nurses who seek education in holistic health care with an emphasis on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Western, or Swedish, Bodywork and  Asian Bodywork are effective systems of energetic and somatic manipulation utilized to balance the movement of energy within the body.

The College's Holistic Nursing Program curriculum includes principles of Holistic Nursing set forth in the American Holistic Nurses Association core curriculum.  The program also includes a supervised, clinical experience conducted on-site at the Academic Health Care Teaching Clinics or at one of the College's affiliated hospitals.

Nurses trained in Holistic practices and principles are ready to meet the growing demand for health care born of an integration between East and West art and science. Holistic Nurses are emerging as leaders in integrative healthcare roles as clinical practitioners, educators, wellness consultants and coordinators.
