An Accredited Massage Therapy, Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine School on NYC's Upper West Side
New York College opened its first Manhattan location at the world famous Riverside Church in Fall 2011. Located on the upper west side, in Morningside Heights, the church is a few blocks from the campuses of Columbia University, Barnard College and the City University of New York. This beautiful building, modeled after the 13th century gothic cathedral in Chartes, France, also contains a 20-floor tower built as part of the original structure as classrooms and meeting rooms.
The New York College massage therapy and acupuncture classes are conducted in large classrooms that overlook the Hudson River to the west or upper Manhattan to the east. Many classrooms contain sinks, and accommodate both didactic and technique classes.
The church contains a café, located in the South Hall Lobby, which serves hot and cold breakfast and lunch and a small Library. One block away on Broadway are many stores, delis and restaurants, as well as the New York Public Library, Morningside Heights branch, at West 113th Street.
The Riverside Church is located on Riverside Drive and 120th Street. The Claremont Avenue entrance
(91 Claremont Avenue is one half block north of 120th St. on the left hand side of the street) is the entrance to the classroom tower and is open daily from 7:00 am – 10:00 pm. This location is easily reached by subway or bus, and there is a garage below the church’s south wing.
