The administrative leadership of New York College of Health Professions oversees the institution's academic programs, fiscal operations, and clinical facilities. The following officers are listed as published in the institutional catalog.


A Li Song, MD (China), LAc

President and CEO

MD, Henan Medical University; Dean, Graduate School of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, New York College of Health Professions; Vice President of Spinal Professional Committee of World Federation Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS); Served as Senior Judge of Academic Professional Title Committee of Spinal Health Professional Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS); Over thirty years of experience in teaching and clinical expertise; Licensed Acupuncturist, New York State.

Dr. Errol G. Virasawmi, C.P., B.A, LHD(hc)

Chief Financial Officer

Education: The College of Preceptors/Teacher's Training College (London); Kensington University, B.A. Business Administration; Cornell University, Certificate in Management; NYS Notary.

Experience: New York College of Health Professions, Chief Financial Officer, 2001 to Present; New Center for Wholistic Health Education and Research, Treasurer, Board of Trustees, 1990–1998; Suffolk County Citizens' Police Academy Alumni Association, Treasurer, Board of Directors, 2011–2017.

Dr. Steven Haffner, DC, MA Ed

Chief Academic Officer

Dr. Steven Haffner received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College, Old Brookville, NY in 1984, and currently serves as full-time faculty at Nassau County Community College and as Adjunct Faculty at Queensborough Community College, Adelphi University, and University of Bridgeport. Prior to these positions, he served as full-time faculty at New York College of Health Professions (NYCHP) from 1996 to 2010, during which period, he served as the Dean of the School of Massage Therapy from 2005 to 2010, Acting Dean of Academic Affairs from 2007 to 2008, and Dean of Students from 2003 to 2004. He also taught at the Swedish Institute before his employment with NYCHP.

Dr. Jian Yang

Dean, both the School of Massage Therapy (SMT) and the Graduate School of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (GSAHM).
