Our Purpose

As holistic health care professionals, we can work together and support each other by enhancing the competence and professionalism of practitioners associated with New York College of Health Professions and by establishing high professional, technical, and legal standards for the practice of holistic medicine.

As graduates and students of New York College of Health Professions, we work to support the College by fostering good fellowship and friendship amongst our members, cultivating a sense of loyalty to the College, taking an active interest in its educational and community efforts, conducting forums to discuss issues affecting the College's growth and development, and promoting and preserving the integrity of the College as an institution of higher learning.

Returning Acupuncture Alumni — Herbal Medicine Track

Alumni who graduated with the BPS/MS degree in Acupuncture may pursue the Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization through a dedicated 47-credit, 840-hour program. This track can be completed in six trimesters (approximately two years). Upon completion, alumni receive the BPS/MS degree in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization. Alumni surrender their original Acupuncture degree upon completion of this program.

For details on curriculum, prerequisites, and enrollment, contact the Office of Admissions or visit the Acupuncture with Herbal Medicine program page.

Continuing Education

A range of continuing education workshops are offered annually, designed to meet the needs of working health care professionals as well as the community at large. Review courses for the New York State Massage Therapy Licensing Examination and national certification examinations are also offered on a regular basis in massage therapy, acupuncture, and Chinese herbology. NYCHP is an approved provider of continuing education by NCBTMB, NCCAOM, and the New York State Education Department. Visit the Continuing Education page for the current schedule and fees.
