HEERF Reporting
New York College of Health Professions received funding from the federal government under the CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP). These funds were distributed as emergency financial aid grants directly to eligible students in accordance with federal requirements.
Disbursement Status
All HEERF funds have been fully disbursed to eligible students. No further allocations are pending.
CARES Act — Section 18004(a)(1)
NYCHP received an initial allocation of emergency financial aid grants to students. A second award was received in January 2021, bringing the total amount received pursuant to the Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students to $1,482,624.00. These funds were distributed to eligible students based on demonstrated financial need.
American Rescue Plan — Section 2003 (ARP/CRRSAA)
NYCHP received a supplemental grant under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Pub. L. 117-2), governed by Section 2003 of the ARP and Section 314 of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), in the amount of $1,751,141.00. The total funding has been fully paid out to students.
Use of Funds
Students who received Emergency Financial Aid Grants were instructed that, in accordance with the CARES Act, the funds are to be used for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus, including eligible expenses under a student's cost of attendance such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care.
